TROUBLESHOOTING

WIRELESS HEADPHONES TROUBLESHOOTING   /   USAGE TIPS
Use the table below to locate any issues you might be having.  For more thorough solution implementation be sure to check the users manual supplied with the package.

 

Symptoms

Possible Cause

Solution

No sound in headphones / muffled sound

Basestation power is off

Check power switch

Basestation AC adapter not working

Check AC adapter & plug

Headphones battery low

Charge headphones battery

Headphones power is off

Switch headphones power on

If using basestation batteries they may be low

Replace basestation batteries or switch to AC power

Channel for basestation and headphones not the same

Switch to same channel on both basestation and headphone

Audio cable not plugged in fully

Check cable connections to and from basestation

Volume level set too low

Adjust volume on both headphones and on source component

Interference with RF signal

Relocate basestation or headphones

MUTE setting on source component

Check setting

Distortion / interference

Channel for basestation and headphones not the same

Switch to same channel on both basestation and headphone

Audio cable not plugged in fully

Check cable connections

Interference with RF signal

Relocate basestation or headphones, try different AC power outlet

Volume level on source component set too high

Adjust volume level until distortion is gone

Transmission distance too far

Move closer to basestation

RF signal obstructed

Relocate basestation or headphones

Interference with other RF device

Try changing to different channel on basestation and headphones

Other wireless devices conflicting

Relocate devices or change channel on devices to eliminate issue

Sound in only one speaker / channel

Audio cable not plugged in fully on basestation or component

Check cable connections to and from basestation

Mono signal at basestation

Use stereo signal

Right / left balance incorrect

Check speaker balance

Both headphone speakers work but MONO sound

Mono signal at basestation

Use stereo signal

Stereo converted to mono

Check audio settings at component

RF signal obstructed

Degraded RF signal strength can cause digital circuitry to send mono signal, relocate basestation

Audio cable not plugged in fully

Check cable connections

Headphones battery not charging

Check orientation of battery

Follow legend in battery compartment

Battery may have expired

Replace with new battery

AC adapter not plugged in

Check AC adapter & plug

Basestation batteries not working

Basestation batteries have expired

Charging not supported on basestation batteries, replace batteries

Microphone not working

Microphone not installed

Plug microphone into mic jack on bottom of right ear cup

Microphone positioned to far from mouth

Re-orient microphone so RED DOT faces your mouth

Microphone sensitivity set too low

Adjust sensitivity in application

Microphone cable not plugged in fully on basestation or component

Check cable connections to and from basestation

Channel for basestation and headphones not the same

Switch to same channel on both basestation and headphone

Interference with other RF device

Try changing to different channel on basestation and headphones

Transmission distance too far

Move closer to basestation

MUTE setting on source component

Check setting
